I’m a writer and translator based in Berlin.
My essays and reviews have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, The Point Magazine, The Baffler, Texas Monthly, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Spike Art Magazine, ARCH+, and elsewhere. In 2023, I was awarded a “Berlin Senate Grant for Non-German Literature” to complete a novel-in-progress, which is represented by Ian Bonaparte at Janklow & Nesbit. In August 2026, my translation of Ruth Rehmann's 1959 novel Illusions will be published by Faber & Faber.
I used to be an assistant editor at the architecture magazine ARCH+, where I oversaw the English content, and I regularly translate books and longform texts for clients in the art and architecture worlds — including the MoMA in NYC, Texte zur Kunst and the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin, the German Architecture Museum in Frankfurt, the Fondation Beyeler in Basel, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal. In 2019, I translated Tom Kummer’s novel Nina & Tom. I have also edited book projects for publishers such as Birkhäuser, Aufbau Verlag, Hatje Cantz, and Sternberg Press.
